mouse trap

what a weekend!!

i sat on the couch on saturday watching tv and falling asleep when crofton and his partner (who just moved here from atlanta) asked if i wanted to go out to the village.

sure! why not. i did a speed change and we drove in which was bizarre as none of us know how to get to manhattan by car. we found it, and amazingly a parking spot also. it was late but of course the streets were packed with posers. we went to get in to a club and i was refused!! i had taken an old student i.d coz i figured all they needed was my date of birth. but the large jelly-belly bouncer refused it on principle- no student cards. i argued my case to no avail. i was SO mad... and i felt like i'd ruined the night for germain. but he didnt mind. we went to meet his friends and they had reserved a table at a swanky jamaican restaurant.

crofton just wanted to go home and i was so tired i didnt know what was going on but we went and had pizza.. the most horrible thing was when we were standing on the sidewalk (right outside of the 'town tavern' where my bag got stolen!!!! curse its name) we saw the saddest sight. a mouse, on the sidewalk that someone stepped on and in the frenzy that was the crowd out at night, it got totally flattened and people didnt even know they were stepping on a mouse!! i couldnt look away!!

later an ambulance went by and i hoped they were saving the mouse....

crofton and i joined the party-ers and had jamaican rum coctails and ate bits of everyones food. when i went to the bathroom downstairs i heard amazing jungle beats and i did a little dance. i was the only whitey for miles (again) and everyone at the table said they loved my accent and asked about kangaroos again. it was fun though, i sat back and thought about if i ever imagined me being there... i cant remember foresight in hindsight!

now we're makin pancakes!!! its so hard to cook with juan- he cant watch. he always has a better way of doing things and thats why i'm here now, my pancakes were too ugly so my job has been taken hahahahaa
