there's nothing quite like a cafe grumpy latte. we have been making coffee at home to save on money, but today i thought i'd treat myself. its smooth, just the right temperature and pretty as anything (that fancy swirlyness on top)if you're ever in nyc and you crave a good coffee (like most australian visitors) you should get one there.

the job search continues. but meanwhile i am helping out www.stanleyadamscouture.com get ready for his runway show for fashion week. i spent a whole day at a model casting periodically looking in the mirror at what then seemed like my huge tree trunk thighs and skinny naked models hairless skin. i also visited the furthest up manhattan i've ever been- 150th street in harlem. stanley has a bedroom/studio where i helped him finish garments. we also caught cabs everywhere, me with armfuls of dresses in bags. it was tres devil wears prada. this will be my first real experience of fashion week nyc.
i am very sad/horrified about the fires in australia. i feel far away. and so sorry for those poor people.
