high rolling

i'm working on an internet series for warner brothers digital

its been fun, challenging, boring, dancing.

my boss was surprisingly cool with the whole ordeal. i had huge angst about asking her for time off but in the end she was tres cool.

robino came to stay with me a few weeks ago and just after he got here i contracted a flu of biblical proportions. it was so bad i was delirious in bed for what seemed a lifetime. luckily rob dosed me up on juices and tea and pills. we had all these plans to make amazing dance videos that were crushed when i was struck down by killer flu. i heard a rumour that american flu is somehow worse than australian. yeah, thats right, even their flu is supersized! rob and i went to see dance movies and roamed the freezing streets planning our amazing dance careers.

unfortunately rob also got sick and then left dreampoint to stay in long island again. it was a bit of a mishap that i feel bad about but didnt have time to dwell as all of a sudden i was running around this fair cold city in search of teenybopper outfits and paparazzi vests. i've met lots of cool people and its been interesting working on a set where everything is just built right there. i like wearing my wardrobe necklace i made which makes me look official but doesnt serve much purpose. also i wield my lint roller like a crazy person. extras beware, i just swipe that thing without warning.

today we filmed in a bookstore to make it look like an autograph signing and i had a moment where i thought, how bizarre that i'm here! it was when i was recruited as an extra and we had to pause filming to wait for a "kosovo is serbia" protest to go down 2nd Av. so odd/funny. the best bit about the day was meeting THE daxflame. he is such a nice kid, i hardly knew what to say to him after seeing his hilarious films on youtube. i dont know if its illegal for me to talk about so i'll just tell you in person next time i see you. so cool. we flew him in from texas.

also i laughed lots when we were being extras walking across the back of a shot and pretending to moonwalk and stuff. the long hours and cabin fever made it seem really funny for me to pretend to trip with a cup filled with stale bread that plonked on the floor. then we busted out some mean dance moves. good times.

anyway, 6am rise again tomorrow. i got left at home tonight after julie invited me to see kiowas band and then never answered her phone to tell me where it was. i feel a bit left out but sleep will cure all.

nighty night
