crooklyn

brooklyn was divine. i caught the subway over last night (i think it took a while but i was reading...?) and walked the nice, trendy-kid filled streets to a bar that had a huge pool of water in the entrance. i talked to the bar tender (i thought he was an aussie.. but alas, no) and apparently i had the nicest hand writing of the group so i wrote the quote of the day on the blackboard... i cant remember it!

then we went in to the back room/theatre and had free popcorn and watched some funny short films and then the 80's classic '16 candles'. the reason i went is coz the other night i saw the end of pretty in pink on tv and when i found this FREE event with another molly ringwald classic i'd never seen! well i jumped at the chance.. plus i needed to get out of the house after a day of knitting and watching 50 first dates.

so the movie was SO GOOD! the best bit about it was in the totally perfect supreme romantic ending everyone clapped and cheered and whistled and it suited my bursting heart perfectly.

by the time i got home it was midnight! i had no idea due to my watchless-ness.

i love brooklyn and i plan on going there again this arvo for crafty night
